I was saddened to hear of the loss of Yvette Wilson, best known as Andell Wilkerson on the long-running UPN series Moesha and its spinoff The Parkers. I loved her character, especially on the latter show. She and Mo'Nique worked well on the show. A good example of a Lucy/Ethel type vibe with her character Andell and Mo'Nique's Nikki Parker.Before Moesha, she appeared on the short-lived ABC sitcom Thea. She was also a stand-up comedian and appeared on HBO's Def Comedy Jam series, and movies including Poetic Justice, Friday, and House Party 3.
Yvette lost her battle with ovarian cancer last night at the age of 48. May she rest in peace.
